Well, it's been a while since Luke's last blog entry but he's been a very busy boy! July was full of fun and adventure for Mr. Luke. For July 4th, Mommy and Daddy took Luke to Gay City State Park in Hebron, CT for some fun in the lake! Luke really enjoyed sitting in the shallow end and playing with his toys. He does not seem to be bothered by the fact that the water was a little cool....he's a true Canadian! The next week was Luke's first trip to Lake George, NY with friends Ben, Kim, Ethan, and Jake. He did very well on the 3-hour car ride and enjoyed playing in the lake with his new buddies! Mommy and Daddy plan to return to Lake George when Luke gets a little older and can take part in the many fun activities offered like mini golf, swimming, canoeing, etc.! During our stay at Lake George/Lake Luzerne was when Luke took his first few steps!! Mommy and Daddy were SO excited. He's taken several steps since the ...

Luke turned 14 months, and he continues to be a funny little guy. He's doing quite well walking along furniture, and holding on to things. He crawls around the house and opens and shuts cabinet doors, he isn't touching anything inside the cabinets yet though, i'm sure that'll be coming up soon. He also enjoys playing with this shadow, and shaking things!! His favorite bed time story is Goodnight Moon, we sometimes have to read it to him 5 times before he goes to bed. He laughs at the same pages every time you read it to him. Here are some more pictures of Luke from the past month.

Well, here is Luke at 13 months. He is a happy, active little guy these days. He's exploring his world by crawling around and he's even pulled himself to standing twice! Shouldn't be long before he takes off running!

Very exciting news! When Mommy put Luke in his crib tonight for bed, he grabbed his little aquarium then grabbed the side of the crib and stood up all by himself! WOO-HOO! Let the baby-proofing begin!

Well, Mr. Luke is officially a little boy! He got his hair cut this weekend and what a dramatic change from baby to little man! Of course, we took him to Daddy's barber, Joe, because he is "the man" when it comes to cutting hair! Luke did well, although he started getting antsy toward the end. I think the little clippers tickled him because he would shrug his shoulders whenever Joe "buzzed" him! We kept some locks for the baby book....there was a ton of it! Enjoy these pics of Luke's first haircut!

Luke gave Mommy the BEST Mother's Day present....he crawled across the livingroom for the first time! It was so exciting (probably as exciting for Mommy and Daddy as it was for Luke!) So, now we will really be on our toes trying to keep track of the little guy! Stay tuned for pictures/videos of Lukey in action! Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies out there!

Luke had a great First Birthday! We started out the day by going to church where Luke sneezed during a pivotal part of the sermon and made the entire congregation laugh in response! Next, it was lunch at Vinny T's with family and a few friends. If you weren't paying attention before, you may not have noticed that I did not mention a NAP in all of this activity...that will be important later in this blog entry. Lunch was great..we had lots of laughs as we ate. Luke was getting pretty tired due to the lack of the aforementioned nap and ended up conking out on Memere, where he snoozed for about a half an hour. Once at home, we ate cake and ice cream and sang (while Luke tried to "nap" in his crib...I use the term "nap" here loosely). Mommy and Daddy realized that a nap was not in Luke's plans for the day, so we got him up and let him try some cake and ice cream for the first time! He wasn't too crazy abo ...

Easter with the Cousins |

Luke had an extra special Easter this year! Not just because it was his FIRST Easter, but that he got to visit with his cousins Joe and Ellie! They were visiting from Arizona for a long weekend. They enjoyed playing together and taking rides in Luke's new wagon together. The wagon was an early birthday gift from the Grandpas, as they made it for Luke from scratch! One morning this past week, Mommy found Luke sitting up in his crib, which was very exciting since that was the first time that had happened! I guess it's time to keep the sides up on the crib from now on! Luke also continues to wave and look for his shadow. He loves looking at the shadow of his hand moving back and forth...it even keeps him busy while Mom and Dad eat dinner at restaurants! Click here ...

Luke Turns 11 Months Old! (3/30/2006) |

Mr. Luke is now 11 months old! He had a great day today...spent the day with Daddy. They visited Uncle Roger and Luke saw a horse for the first time there! Luke still loves to wave and now reaches for mommy or daddy when we call him! He has also started to "scoot" backwards, with his arms out in front of him and his legs on the floor. He's actually gotten up on all fours a couple times, so we think he's starting to figure this whole crawling thing out! He also still loves throwing his toys...he's actually made a few baskets with his basketball toy! We can't believe Luke will be 1 in just a month!!! Click here to see pics of how Luke has grown. Check out some more pictures from the month of March.

Luke Turns 10 months old!! (3/1/2006) |

Luke is doing very well as a 10-month-old. He waves CONSTANTLY, although we're not sure if he means it as a greeting yet. The daycare people at LA Fitness (where Mommy works out) say he knows what he's doing and he's trying to say HI so we'll go with that! Daddy is so proud now too because Luke LOVES playing catch. He has quite a pitching arm....could a career in baseball be in his future??! Luke also still loves spinning things, and Mommy and Daddy still love watching him do it! (Maybe he'll be a DJ instead!!) It's very easy to make Luke laugh since he's so tickelish...especially in his armpits. He giggles at his shadows and Mommy and Daddy's silly faces! He really has quite the happy life!! Stay tuned for more Lukey info!!
