Luke is 9 months old today! He went to the Dr.'s office for a check-up and it went very well. He is 21 lbs, 15 oz. (70th percentile for weight), 28 & 1/2 inches long (60th percentile for height), and his head circumference is 46 & 1/2 cm (80th percentile). The doctor is very happy with Luke's growth and gave him a clean bill of health! Luke is rolling over and grabbing at toys, although he does not put anything in his mouth like a lot of other babies his age. He seems to like all the food offered to him and he especially enjoys fruit! Luke is generally very happy, although the last few weeks have been tough since he's been teething. At 8 & 1/2 months, Luke is a very happy, healthy 22 lb baby boy! He has become very vocal, and enjoys saying "Da-da-da..." and screeching at the top of his lungs, which, by the way, are also very healthy. He rolls over from his back to his belly (and vice versa) and has started to pull himself to an upright position when reclined in his bouncer seat! He laughs and smiles constantly and continues to be a joy to his mommy and daddy. His latest tricks include turning on the kitchen faucet while taking a bath and pulling off his socks! He loves going to Curves with mommy and really enjoys all the attention he gets during his visit there...he's such a flirt! Stay tuned for more of Lukey's adventures!

Luke enjoyed his very first christmas this past weekend. He did some last minute shopping with mom and dad for Grandma Morin on Friday since dad had a day off from work. Saturday afternoon he attended Christmas Eve service at Wapping Church and enjoyed listening to the music, watching the pagent that the kids were putting on, and staring at the lights everywhere. Then we went on over to Grandma and Grandpa Morin's place for dinner and gift opening... He got lots of toys, clothes, and college fund money!!. Sunday he woke up and had breakfast with Memere and Pepere Schwartz and opened some more gifts before we buckled him in the car and headed off to Uncle Mitch and Aunt Martha's place up in Massachusetts. He met his cousin Julia for the first time, she enjoyed ho ...

First snowfall, first Christmas party, first meeting with Santa,
lighting the Advent candle for the first time....ALL IN ONE DAY!
WOW! It's pretty exhausting being 7 months old! The party
was put on by the Ladies' French Social Club. It was a whirlwind
of activity, but Luke handled it very well. He even got his very
own ornament...not to mention his first Christmas present: a
yellow Boobah. For those of you who don't know what a Boobah
is...it's a puffy guy with a bald head that makes REALLY weird
noises. Luke likes it, though, so I guess that's all that
matters! Click here to see these pictures.
