Luke's First Christmas (12/27/2005)
Luke's Blog By Sarah Morin on 12/27/2005 9:47 PM
Luke enjoyed his very first christmas this past weekend.  He did some last minute shopping with mom and dad for Grandma Morin on Friday since dad had a day off from work.   Saturday afternoon he attended Christmas Eve service at Wapping Church and enjoyed listening to the music, watching the pagent that the kids were putting on, and staring at the lights everywhere.   Then we went on over to Grandma and Grandpa Morin's place for dinner and gift opening...  He got lots of toys, clothes, and college fund money!!.   Sunday he woke up and had breakfast with Memere and Pepere Schwartz and opened some more gifts before we buckled him in the car and headed off to Uncle Mitch and Aunt Martha's place up in Massachusetts. He met his cousin Julia for the first time,  she enjoyed ho ...

Some new "Firsts" (12/4/2005)
Luke's Blog By Sarah Morin on 12/5/2005 10:40 PM
First snowfall, first Christmas party, first meeting with Santa, lighting the Advent candle for the first time....ALL IN ONE DAY!  WOW!  It's pretty exhausting being 7 months old!  The party was put on by the Ladies' French Social Club.  It was a whirlwind of activity, but Luke handled it very well.  He even got his very own ornament...not to mention his first Christmas present:  a yellow Boobah.  For those of you who don't know what a Boobah is...it's a puffy guy with a bald head that makes REALLY weird noises.  Luke likes it, though, so I guess that's all that matters!  Click here to see these pictures.

Coming home from Phoenix (11/28/2005)
Luke's Blog By Sarah Morin on 12/1/2005 5:09 PM
The flight home from Phoenix was not quite as smooth as the flight there.  It was later in the day and Luke missed his usual nap time, so he slept a little on the plane, but not enough!  No matter what we did he didn't seem to want to fall asleep!  Finally, Mommy and Daddy put down their food trays and layed Mommy's sweatshirt down and Luke layed on his back and looked up at the lights above him.  This seemed to keep him fairly entertained for the last hour or so of the flight.  It was hard leaving Phoenix, since we had such a nice time..saying goodbye never seems to get any easier...  All in all, we had a wonderful trip and look forward to the next one!  Click here for still more Phoenix Pics!  Luke celebrated his 7-month birthday by donning a new snowman sweater from Auntie Tina and posing for another picture with his dinosaur!  He's g ...

Luke had a great first Thanksgiving!  Tony cooked the turkey on the webber and each of us made a different side dish.  Although Luke didn't try the turkey, he got some indirectly from mommy's milk!!  Luke loves hanging out with cousins Joe and Ellie...he enjoys watching Joe run around and bump into things!  The day after Thanksgiving we noticed that Luke has tooth buds!  He'll be chomping on turkey before we know it!!  Click here for more Phoenix pics.

Luke Goes To Phoenix (11/18/2005)
Luke's Blog By Sarah Morin on 11/20/2005 6:34 PM
Luke took his very first plane trip ever!!  It was very exciting (maybe a little nerve-racking for mom and dad) to see how Luke would react to the 5-hour flight to Phoenix.  He did EXTREMELY well.  He was very cheerful, especially for being woken up at 4:45 am to make a 6:35am flight!  The man sitting in our row agreed to switch seats with Memere, so she, mom, and dad took turns holding and playing with Luke!  The people sitting in the row next to us said that when they first saw us come onto the plane, they thought, "Oh God...a 5-hour flight sitting next to a baby...it's going to be miserable!"  However, they told us at the end of the flight that Luke gets the "Best Baby" Award because he was so good.  He slept on Memere and then again on Mommy for a while and laughed a lot too!  We were very proud of him!  Luke is enjoying hanging out with cousins Joe and Ellie...it's amazing to see them intera ...
