Well, the big day is just about here....the day when Luke turns two! We celebrated by having a pizza party with the family then Memere made a yummy cake for everyone! Luke received some fabulous spring clothes, a top, a jack-in-the-box, an aquadoodle, and some money for his college fund! Turning two is awesome! Luke wasn't too interested in the pizza so Mommy made him scrambled eggs instead...well he's the birthday-boy so he should get whatever he wants!! Luke had a great winter and he is so happy spring is here! He LOVES being outside and usually cries when it's time to come inside. Perhaps an environmentalist in the making?? Anyway, Luke's new trick is that he gives Mommy and Daddy "high fives". He usually does 7 or 8 in a row, which is good because he never leaves us hanging!! He does not have too many words yet, but he is signing "more" and "open" and he's very vocal so he never has trouble getting his point across. Another exciting event is Luke's first "kiss"!! He planted an open-mouthed kiss on his little friend Natalie in front of her parents AND while wearing only a diaper!! Way to go Luke!! Future prom date?? Hey, you never know! Mr. Luke is enjoying the winter. He went on his first sled ride and really enjoyed it...especially since Mommy pulled him around and he just had to sit and enjoy! Luke is now a pro at feeding himself. He loves scrambled eggs, Heart to Heart cereal, cheese curls, animal crackers, lentil soup, and Goldfish! He has an amazing appetite and often likes to "sample" some of Mommy and Daddy's meal after he's already polished off his own! Our new project for Luke is teaching him to use a big-boy cup! He's doing well and we expect he'll be drinking from a cup like a pro in no time! Luke continues to be a smiley, energetic, and happy little man and he keeps Mommy and Daddy entertained all the time! As always, there are pictures in the "Watch Luke Grow" album so you can see what a big man he is and be sure to check out some new videos in the File Library and see for yourself how much of a ham Luke can be!

Well, the weather has finally turned cold so Mr. Beefman is spending a lot of time indoors. He loves playing in his playroom...especially with his V-Tech Alphabet Town toy and his blue Rocking Puppy! Luke seems to be getting into the "mouthing" stage (he never really went through it before) and one of his favorite things to do is lick windows, toys and sometimes even the floor!!! YUCK! The "boy" in him is really starting to show these days! Luke is eating new foods recently as he's still learning to chew. He seems to enjoy cheese puffs, scrambled eggs, lentil soup, mac-and-cheese, and ravioli! We'll have him eating steak before you know it! Stay tuned for more Lukey updates!

Well, it's been a while since we've added to Luke's blog, so here goes: Mommy and Daddy think the new year will bring lots of new adventures for Mr. Luke! Luke traveled to Phoenix, AZ to visit his cousins for Christmas. The kids had a great time opening presents, although we don't think Luke totally understood what all the commotion was about. Next year, however, we think he will be all over his PRESENTS! Luke is finally starting to use some of his toys appropriately. He puts balls in his basketball hoop and also in his musical funnel toy. This is exciting for Mommy and Daddy since prior to now, Luke has been mostly throwing his toys. Luke has also started to grab Mommy and Daddy's hands and pull them into another room. He is very proud of himself when he does this and proceeds to giggle uncontrollably :) Luke is doing really well imitating Mommy and Daddy. One of his favorite games is to clap his han ...
