Today was a big day for the Luke-ster. He got his first pair of shoes AND had his first carousel ride ever! Mommy and Daddy took Luke to the mall and after eating dinner took him on the carousel there! What an exciting ride! Luke has also been busy visiting friends. He visited buddies Evan and Reese and played on their swingset which he LOVED! He also visited friends Christian and Grace and was lucky enough to get to play with some of their toys! Luke also enjoyed a visit from Hannah and had fun riding in the bike trailer with her! It must be difficult to be so young and yet so popular! As always, Luke is a happy little guy...laughs at everything...such a good sense of humor! Click here to see Luke's latest pictures!

Well, Mr. Luke is now mobile! He took his first few steps (unassisted) while on vacation in Lake George last month (at about 14 & 1/2 months) and has been "teasing" us ever since with steps here and there. Just over the last few days, Luke has taken a keen interest in his Fisher-Price walker and uses it all day long! It took him about a day to figure out how to steer it and now he's a pro! He's also fond of using furniture (ie-chairs or ottomans) as "walkers". Another new activity Luke enjoys is riding in his new trailer hitched to Mommy's bicycle! He loves the breeze flowing through his luxurious locks! Check out the file library to see these new videos!

Well, it's been a while since Luke's last blog entry but he's been a very busy boy! July was full of fun and adventure for Mr. Luke. For July 4th, Mommy and Daddy took Luke to Gay City State Park in Hebron, CT for some fun in the lake! Luke really enjoyed sitting in the shallow end and playing with his toys. He does not seem to be bothered by the fact that the water was a little cool....he's a true Canadian! The next week was Luke's first trip to Lake George, NY with friends Ben, Kim, Ethan, and Jake. He did very well on the 3-hour car ride and enjoyed playing in the lake with his new buddies! Mommy and Daddy plan to return to Lake George when Luke gets a little older and can take part in the many fun activities offered like mini golf, swimming, canoeing, etc.! Luke turned 14 months, and he continues to be a funny little guy. He's doing quite well walking along furniture, and holding on to things. He crawls around the house and opens and shuts cabinet doors, he isn't touching anything inside the cabinets yet though, i'm sure that'll be coming up soon. He also enjoys playing with this shadow, and shaking things!! His favorite bed time story is Goodnight Moon, we sometimes have to read it to him 5 times before he goes to bed. He laughs at the same pages every time you read it to him. Here are some more pictures of Luke from the past month.

Well, here is Luke at 13 months. He is a happy, active little guy these days. He's exploring his world by crawling around and he's even pulled himself to standing twice! Shouldn't be long before he takes off running!
